Ngang was released this morning
According to Malaysiakini, an independent malaysian online newspaper, Ngang is to be charged under Section 448 of the Penal Code for trespassing and is expected to appear in court on Nov 4, 2013.
Furthermore, Malaysiakini reports that Ngang shall not rest the only person to be arrested. According to Malaysiakini, the government has dispatched more police personnel to the Murum dam site in Belaga in an effort to arrest 40 Penans said to be involved in putting up blockades to protect against the impoundment of the dam.
Large dams can only serve as last resort, acknowledged the Malaysian Ministry of the Environment.
